Lavendar inspired.

Jessie got a new book from santa and she reallly reallly wanted to make something. First a doll, then a Nintendo DS cover (which i have started knitting) and then some finger puppets. But we settled on some lavender pyriamids. I cut out and she sewed it up with the sewing machine, stuffed it and I hand sewed it together. I also handsewed the ricrac on. its so gorgeous. It was a very settling project to make at night time... Here it is,

Sorry the photo is a little blurry, Cheers tam. Till next UFO finished. - The booties to come...

Christmas has finished, but we did this.

I know christmas is finished but the kids and i tried something new. Oops i know i should be finishing Ufo's but i did start two new things AND i finished them, lol.
I really liked a tea cosy in a book i bought mum for xmas and i rang her late one night and got her tell me the pattern over the phone. She was really busy - watching the tennis - but she told me anyways. So here it is finished, very fast knitting, not so fast pompom making.

and the first pompom we made became this cutie in a little pot - merry xmas for next this year...

The first pompom was way too big for the cubes i wanted for the tea pot...

The kids helped with the pompoms and now they want a doll made, one they found in their new book. Maybe maybe maybe. Tea first, cheers tam.

ooohhh and here is that little green bag i made and delivered. She loves it... cheers again tam.

This wettest january is amazing

This is really scary. In my home town watching my nephew eat brekkie, excited to be able to run through the little, now enormous creek flowing over the dam in our gully when we were kids. My heart cries for all those people not in just qld now, but all over australia, flooding and burning. Wow the spirit of all is amazing.

My sister came out for a surprise visit and she rang us early - all in our pj's still - asking for help to get down the road, a tree had fallen down across it. Lucky we could jump and get to her.

Thinking of all the people who are devastated by the weather and natural disasters. My heart goes out to you.
